Q: Would Thermal Conductive Pad Cause Short-circuit of Electronic Components?

A:

No. Our company’s products are electronic isolation with its voltage endurance over thousands of volt.

Q:Do Your Company's Products Include Eight Kinds of Heavy Metal or Hazardous Substance?

A:

No, all our products are SGS, RoHs and Reach compliant. So far, the substances that customers demonstrate harm are far from the hazardous standard. SinoGuide is a world leading manufacturer in thermal interface materials. We understand that all of our activities, products, services can affect our environment. We will operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

Q: Do Your Company's Products Pass UL Standard Test?

A:

Yes, the fire resistance of our company’s products is UL94V-O. You can use our products without any worry.

Q: If the Gap Filler Pad Offered with an Adhesive?

A:

Currently, gap filler pad can be offered with or without an adhesive on both side, depending on the material that the pad is applied to, in most cases they are repositionable. Care should be taken when removing the pad from aluminum or anodized surfaces as to avoid tearing or delaminating the pad.The side with natural tack is always easier to reposition than an adhesive side.

Q: What's The Series of Thermal Conductive Pad in Your Company?

A:

Thermal conductive pad are one of our company’s main type production line; the series of SinoGuide™ conductive pad are as follows: , TCP100U, TCP120, TCP150, TCP200, TCP250, TCP300, TCP400, TCP500, TCP600 and TCP750. High-conductivity interface pad are proposed for electronic cooling and for enhancing the heat removal from small chips to a heat sink.

Q: Do Thermal Conductive Pad of Your Company Have Natural Inherent Tackiness on The Surface?

A:

The characteristic of the rubber itself has a natural inherent tack, without the addition of an adhesive. As with adhesive-backed products, the surfaces with natural tack may help in the assembly process to temporarily hold the pad in place while the application is being assembled. Unlike adhesive-backed products, inherent tack does not have a thermal penalty since the rubber itself has the tack. Tack strength varies from one thermal pad product to the next. With natural inherent tackiness, it would be convenient for customers to locate and operate without tearing the thermal conductive material. And it would be easy for operators to reassemble them after taking them down from heat sink and enclosure.

Q: What Does The Material's Natural Inherent Tackiness Refer to?

Q: Is it Necessary to Assembly with Metal Heat Sink to Heat Transfer?

A:

Metal heat sink cannot contact IC to the fullest when angle of installation is wrong and the pressure is not inequality because of metal’s hardness. Consequently, it cannot transfer heat from heat producer to heat sink effectively. If the contact area is assembled with soft thermal conductive materials, heat producer and heat sink would contact to the fullest so that heat transfer would be effective.

Q: When Do Electronic Products Need to Assemble Thermal Conductive Pad? What size of thermal pad can be used?

A:

Generally speaking, when electronic products cannot be assembled with fans or metal heat sink, they can transfer heat by Thermal Conductive Pad which can be used to contact IC and outer case to transfer heat to the outside of products.
The thermal gap pad material can be used wherever air can be replaced, such as between a heat-generating device and a heat sink, heat spreader or housing. This can be done using one sheet of thermal gap pad or individual pieces of appropriate thicknesses if stack-up tolerances and height variations are significant.

Q: What's The Benefits of Thermal Gap Filler Material Filling in Electronic Products?

A:

Customers values more about products’ stability besides functions. Generally, high temperature would decrease electronic products’ working life. If thermal conductive pad is assembled on IC, it would lower the internal temperature and then products’ working life would be longer.

Q: Do Laptop and Desktop Use thermal conductive materials?

A:

The NB with low noise or without fans, the heat transfer by thermal conductive cooper pipe and Thermal Pad. As for desktop, Thermal Conductive Tape is applied in Bridge Chips and DDR, Thermal Grease is applied in CPU, and Thermal Conductive Pad is applied in power supply.

Q: Would the Hardness of Thermal Pad Change After Being Used?

A:

No, Thermal Conductive Pad can work under the temperature from-40℃ to 200℃ with the nature of silicone rubber, it’s stable and no significant variance in hardness.

Q: How Long Can Thermal Conductive Pad Work?

A:

It’s about 20 years. Generally, the working life of materials depends on the working life of silicone rubber.

Q: Would Anything Given off from Thermal Conductive Pad After Being Used?

A:

Outgassing is a measurement of weight given-off during an excursion of temperature such as 125°C or 150°C. Residual Gas Analysis is a measurement of weight loss after exposed to 125°C or higher temperature in an enclosed package. Sometimes the gaseous products may cause corrosion of metallization of the device.Actually, all the thermal materials form SinoGuide contains silicone oil. But our company has solved the problem by twice pyrochemical processing and vacuum treatment.

Q: What's the Thermal Conductivity Test Method?

A:

A test fixture is utilized that meets the specifications outlined in ASTM D5470.

Q: What is the Shelf Life of the Thermal Gap Pad Products?

A:

The shelf life is a measurement of stable storage life in specified storage conditions. Shelf life for thermal gap pad is one (1) year after date of manufacture. For thermal gap pad with adhesive, the shelf life is six (6) months after the date of manufacture. After these dates, inherent tack and adhesive properties should be recharacterized.
